"I want to know Christ and the power of His resurrection."
St. Paul's Letter to the Philippians (3:10)

This musical work, celebrating the resurrection of our Saviour Jesus Christ, was completed in 1996 by a group of experienced and dedicated Catholic and Orthodox Church cantors, under the direction of Nader Hajjar.

It was a result of a long friendship that began and developed singing in various Churches. This group had long chanted these and other beautiful hymns together. Due to the many and repeated requests they decided to produce a professional recording together. After its completion and initial release, this monumental work sold out very quickly.

At the time of recording, the main celebrant, Fr. Sleiman Hajjar, was serving at Sts. Peter and Paul Church in Ottawa. He was later appointed to lead the Melkite Catholic Church in Canada and was consecrated a bishop on August 6, 1998. He faithfully and tirelessly served the Church until his sudden death on March 10, 2002.

This recording is now being re-released in CD and audio cassette format in memory of Bishop Sleiman Hajjar who was a special friend and supporter of each member of the group. In his life and through his voice he led all in celebrating and rejoicing in the glory of the resurrection.
