DESCRIPTION:
This icon is located in the dome of the Church. The word "Pantocrator" is the Greek word for "the all mighty" or "the all powerful". Jesus Christ is here shown as the ruler of the heavens. His head is on the western side, as though the sun of righteousness were rising from the east. With His right hand He is blessing and with the left He is holding against his chest the Book of the Gospels, the Divine Law. He is surrounded by angels, Old Testament figures, and Apostles.ARTIST: Fr. Theodore Kufos
