The Divine Master took apart Peter, James and John and led them to a high mountain, which Christian tradition designates as Mount Tabor near Nazareth. While praying there, He became transfigured: his face glowed with the effulgence of the sun and his garments became white as snow. The splendour of his divinity penetrated his human body and was seen in his human person: Jesus appeared in his splendour and glory as the son of God and Eternal Word.
